WHAT. A. PARK... We had an incredible experience at Gorges State Park with North Carolina State Parks and Recreation & NC Department of Natural & Cultural Resources! Not only did we get to explore the beautiful natural setting of the park, but we also learned about the unique features of the area, including the waterfalls and the importance of wildlife safety. We were guided through the park's hiking trails and got to learn about different types of waterfalls, their formation, and how to safely explore them.
