★ 🇨🇭 Kriessern - 🇦🇹 Rheinmündung 750 mm heritage railway cab ride [12.6.2013] (Andreas Perren)

The service railway of the International Rhine Regulation (IRR) was built over a hundred years ago to correct the course of the Rhine. On the Austrian and Swiss sides, a 750 mm gauge works railway several dozen kilometers long was constructed. After the completion of the Rhine regulation, museum trains (www.rheinschauen.at) run on the Austrian side from Lustenau Werkhof downstream (currently only as far as Schleierlöcher) and upstream (only as far as Lustenau Wiesenrain; the section on Swiss territory has since been closed). Part 2 continues near Kriessern on to where the Rhine enters the lake of Constance. In cooperation with Andreas Perren, we're pleased to present you with a selection of a few lines that he has filmed in his quest to film every line in Switzerland.
