AFR100: Restoring Boeny's landscapes for livelihoods in Madagascar

rom rice fields to mangrove forests, communities in Madagascar’s Boeny region are restoring landscapes and rebuilding livelihoods. Farmers are protecting soils and water, while women are restoring mangroves, beekeeping and developing sustainable businesses. Through the FAO-led AFR100 Support Programme, funded by Germany’s BMZ, restoration is creating new opportunities while helping communities protect the natural resources they depend on.
