CowboyRich – Gold In My Name (Official Music Video)

Official CowboyRich music video for “Gold In My Name.” Hank Mercer is a bull rider who doesn’t chase fame, he builds legacy. This is his story. The sun climbs slow over Amarillo skies Coffee in a tin cup, truth in a man's eyes Trailer full of dreams and a saddle worn thin Every rodeo road feels like rolling the dice again Mama said, “Boy don't chase the dust and fame” But the roar of that crowd keeps calling my name Eight seconds feels like a lifetime to me When a thousand wild pounds try to break you free Some nights I win, some nights I fall But a cowboy’s heart don’t scare at all I got dust on my boots and gold in my name Riding that bull like I'm chasing a flame Broken bones and whiskey nights But love still burns in neon lights Money comes fast then it fades away But a cowboy rides anyway Dust on my boots, scars in my soul But that rodeo fire keeps me whole She waits back home where the river bends A small porch light and prayers she sends Says she don't care 'bout buckle or fame Just wants the man who still says her name But the road keeps pulling like a midnight train And every arena feels the same Steel gates slam and the crowd goes wild But love's the thing that makes me smile I got dust on my boots and gold in my name Riding that bull like I'm chasing a flame Broken bones and whiskey nights But love still burns in neon lights Money comes fast then it fades away But a cowboy rides anyway Dust on my boots, scars in my soul But that rodeo fire keeps me whole I've seen rich men lose everything And poor cowboys ride like kings Because money ain't what makes a man It's standing tall when you barely stand Dust on my boots and gold in my name Still riding that bull through the dust and pain But if I fall and the lights go dim I'll still ride again and again and again Hank is a fictional character to bring the song story to life. #countrymusic #countrysongs #bullriding
