Killing the Lich King Would Be WoW Forever's Biggest Mistake

WoW Forever has a Lich King problem. Arthas is already on the Frozen Throne, and Blizzard intends to keep expanding Year One Azeroth indefinitely. So what happens to the Scourge? Lets examine Arthas's fall in Warcraft III, the consequences of his actions in Vanilla WoW, and why World of Warcraft: Forever needs something better than leaving the Lich King sitting on his throne or simply repeating Wrath of the Lich King. Lordaeron, the Plaguelands, the Forsaken, the Argent Dawn, and the Scarlet Crusade offer the foundations for an entirely different future. One where territory changes hands, the Scourge remains a genuine military threat, and Blizzard allows the world to evolve without abandoning its established history. And sometimes, that means letting Arthas win. The Lich King doesn't need another cosmic explanation. He needs a future worthy of the history he already has. What would YOU do with Arthas in WoW Forever? Would you eventually return to Northrend, or build an entirely different war for Lordaeron? Let me know in the comments.
