Learning to Embroider & Repair Old Textiles: A Slow Stitch Studio Vlog (Hindi)

The festive rush and studio chaos of Diwali have finally quieted down, and I am settling into a peaceful, quiet celebration with my family. Behind the scenes of the recent madness—between finishing commissions and putting out the last few vlogs—this is the project I was quietly working on in the background. I wanted to sit down with you for a meditative fireside chat and share where this journey is starting. This video marks Part 1 of an ongoing, multi-part series where I am attempting to transcreate three different pieces of old, decayed, and fragile vintage embroidery. To be completely transparent, my embroidery skill set is currently limited. This first attempt is intentionally superficial and exploratory—a playground where I am pushing my hands to learn, experiment, and teach myself the craft. The ultimate goal is to build enough skill and confidence over time to restore and reimagine vintage textiles authentically.
