The Summer of Spending - A Football Documentary

When the season comes to a close and the doors shut tight to the public, work still continues behind the scenes across football clubs in the UK. But with the off-season being the most financially demanding period of a clubs season, staff must work tirelessly to secure funds for their club's future. The Summer of Spending analyses the financial operations of three football clubs across the UK. I spoke to officers of Alloa Athletic FC, East Fife FC and Grimsby Town FC, as well as obtaining expert analysis from Kieran Maguire, to understand the key components of football's most financially challenging period.
