In this story, Kobe Wolfe of Missoula, Montana, and his mother, Linda, share their journey through Kobe’s struggle with cannabis-induced psychosis. What began as casual marijuana use in his teens escalated into heavy daily consumption of high-THC cannabis, leading to paranoia, isolation, delusional thinking, and multiple severe psychotic episodes—some resulting in homelessness, encounters with police, and involuntary psychiatric holds. Linda describes the fear, confusion, and difficulty of getting him help, while Kobe recalls vivid hallucinations, the loss of logical thinking, and the devastating impact on his life. After repeated relapses, Kobe committed to recovery with the help of a life coach, support groups, and strong family boundaries. Now sober, working as a certified nursing assistant at the same hospital where he was once admitted, and pursuing a career in psychiatric nursing, Kobe is determined to raise awareness about the dangers of high-THC cannabis and the reality of cannabis-induced psychosis.
