Gore History - The Making of a Legendary Ski Area

Since 1934 when the first snow train arrived in North Creek, Gore Mountain has led the development of alpine snow sports to become the most expansive ski area in the State of NY. Through the decades, innovation, careful planning, and thoughtful stewardship of the natural environment has resulted in a ski area with four peaks, five lodges, and the most trails (108, in fact, not including terrain parks). Today, it's a mountain with over 2,500 vertical feet of varied terrain with lifts and trails for every skill level.
