The S&P stays bullish while tech weakens, as recession worries build and flying cars grab the headlines.

Kevin Warsh signaled no Fed hike in October, though December is still in play. Yields fell yesterday even with hot PPI and CPI, and the reason isn't good news: fear of AI-driven defaults pushed money into US bonds. Gareth Soloway explains why the S&P bias stays bullish anyway, and how reading the charts keeps emotion out of the trade.
📐 ON TODAY'S SHOW
🟢 THE S&P. It gapped down yesterday, then rallied more than 1% off the lows to close green. As long as it holds above 7,575, Gareth stays bullish. The August high has been hit so many times it's weakened, so the next push should take it out. His target is the trend line from the 2022 bear market, near 8,003 today and about 8,038 by late October. Below the neutral zone, he'd turn bearish, with 7,000 in play.
🔵 THE DOLLAR AND THE 10-YEAR. The dollar should pull back to its broken trend line near 100.85 on the DXY. Yields are bouncing a little, but last week's weekly topping tail call worked. The KOSPI's rebound was weak, which hints at more selling next week.
🔴 OIL. Up for about the seventh straight session, and Gareth is turning more bearish. He started a small short on USO with members yesterday.
🔵 TSLA AND MSFT. Elon debuted a flying roadster, and Tesla is gapping higher. Gareth doubts the 2028 production promise, since regulation slows everything. Tesla's channel has resistance near $393. Microsoft printed a daily topping tail, but not at its triple top, and Gareth notes triple tops tend to break out.
🟢 IONQ AND CAT. Two of yesterday's panic-flush trades. IonQ dropped into a gap fill and an ascending trend line, then ran from $30 to $34 intraday. Caterpillar flushed into a gap fill at the .886 fib and bounced.
🔵 GOLD, SILVER, NAT GAS AND BITCOIN. Gold closed below its line again without confirming, so it's hanging on. Silver confirmed its breakdown, so any rally should get rejected, with $50 in play. Nat gas was a classic fakeout. Gareth is holding half and may add lower. Bitcoin's line is still $81,000, and below it opens $75,500.
🔑 KEY TAKEAWAY: Be the casino, not the gambler. Institutions want you emotional, so you chase highs and dump lows. When the Nasdaq was down 2% pre-market yesterday, Gareth checked his lines, saw the S&P was still in the bullish zone, and bought the flush.
