CAT POOP IN MY GARDEN BED?! Yep… and it had to GO! Welcome back to Beyond Gardening Homestead! Today we're dealing with one of those gardening problems nobody wants to find—cat poop in the garden bed! 😳 Unfortunately, the cat decided my beautiful garden bed would make the perfect litter box. Since cat feces can carry harmful parasites and pathogens, especially around areas where food is being grown, I'm cleaning up the mess and taking steps to get my garden bed back in shape. But we're not stopping there! After dealing with that unpleasant surprise, it's time to move on to something much more exciting—hand-pollinating my squash plants! 🌼🥒 I'm showing you how I identify the male and female squash flowers and transfer pollen by hand to give those little squash a better chance of developing into a successful harvest. If you've been seeing lots of squash flowers but very little fruit, poor pollination could be part of the problem. Gardening isn't always pretty! Sometimes it's harvesting beautiful vegetables…and sometimes it's cleaning up somebody else's cat poop. 😂 But that's the reality of backyard gardening!
