Inside the Steel goes inside the tanks of the Second World War to tell the part of the story most histories skip: what daily life was actually like for the men sealed inside them. How they ate with shells stacked around their knees. How they slept in shifts under the hull. How they stayed warm, stayed sane, and got out when the armour finally failed. Every episode is built from crew memoirs, veteran interviews, after-action reports and period technical manuals, then told as one continuous story rather than a list of facts. Some moments are dramatised to bring those accounts to life, but the machines, the conditions and the events come from the historical record. If you want to know what the war felt like from three feet behind the armour, subscribe — new documentaries are posted regularly. Which crew position would you have taken? Driver, gunner, loader, radio operator, or commander? Tell me in the comments.
