Is this the best sunset in China? 🌅 Tonight, our family heads out for a beautiful evening in Dalian, China. We start by watching the sunset and talking about one of the things I love about life here — ganhai (赶海), a popular coastal tradition where people explore the beach and rocks when the tide goes out, looking for things like oysters, snails, octopus, and other little sea creatures. After enjoying the sunset, we head to a local restaurant with my wife, our two kids, and my mother-in-law for a very Western-style dinner — pizza, sausage, and a movie night with Ratatouille. Just a simple evening with our family in China, but honestly, these are some of my favorite nights.
