On October 10, a protest was announced at Jantar Mantar, Delhi, by the Cockroach Janta Party demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Ahead of the protest, restrictions on assembly were imposed, over 40,000 police personnel were deployed, 57 metro stations were closed and around 250 express trains were cancelled.
