My First Paragliding Flight – Bir Billing 2026 My first-ever paragliding flight, from Billing to Bir in Himachal Pradesh, India: an experience I’ll never forget! Billing sits at about 2,400 m (8,000 ft) and is one of the world’s best-known paragliding sites. It’s often called the second-highest paragliding take-off point in the world. The landing site at Bir is at around 1,400 m, so you drop nearly 1,000 m on the way down. In this video, come along with me as I take off from Billing and soar over the beautiful Kangra Valley, with the snow-capped Dhauladhar range in the background. It was a 20–25 minute tandem flight with an experienced pilot, who handled the take-off, the flight and the landing. All I had to do was sit back and enjoy the view!
