I'm reacting to the brand-new official trailer for Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil (2026), following a medical courier on a deadly delivery to Raccoon City General. As a longtime Resident Evil fan, Jess breaks down the survival-horror footage and asks whether this reboot can finally capture the terror of the games. Raccoon City is back, an outbreak is spreading, and Bryan has no idea what he is carrying. From the isolated house and gruesome creatures to the mysterious package heading for Raccoon City General, this trailer raises plenty of questions about the movie’s original storyline. After being disappointed by several of the previous Resident Evil movies, Jess is cautiously optimistic that this new version could finally lean into the horror, tension and terrifying atmosphere that made the games so iconic.
