In about 1950, Wurlitzer filmed inside the North Tonawanda, New York factory where three thousand people built the jukebox you picture in every diner. We restored the film and followed the machine from timber yard to test room: the bent veneer, the hand-rubbed piano finish, the coin mechanism that filed records back one by one. Then what happened to the factory, the jobs and the name. Today there is a brewery inside the building.
