Here is a driving tour of Douglasville, Georgia on a very cloudy, cold, and windy winter day. Starting on Fairburn Road (SR 92), just south of I-20, the drive heads north to Broad Street (US 78) and turns west into downtown Douglasville before exploring local streets around the town center. The drive then heads out of downtown via Chapel Hill Road and explores the Brookmont neighborhood before heading back into town & driving along Douglas Boulevard before ultimately ending just north of the interchange with I-20 on Bill Arp Road (SR 5). Douglasville, the county seat of and largest city in Douglas County, is located rougly 22 miles west of Atlanta via I-20. As of the 2020 Census, it had a population of 34,650 which was up from 30,961 in 2010. It can be considered the last (or first) major suburb west of Atlanta along I-20 as it serves as a retail hub for the far western suburbs of the metro area.
