Bhati’r Purushkotha (ভাটির পুরুষকথা) is an audiovisual presentation of the book written by Shakoor Majid, documenting his seven-year journey with the legendary Baul singer and philosopher Shah Abdul Karim. In this first chapter, “Prothom Karim Porosh” (প্রথম করিম পরশ / My First Encounter with Karim), Shakoor Majid recalls how he first came into close contact with Shah Abdul Karim and how that meeting began a remarkable journey that continued from 2003 until Karim’s death in 2009. The presentation combines narration from the book with rare audiovisual footage filmed during those years, offering an intimate look at Shah Abdul Karim—his life, music, philosophy, surroundings, and his deep connection with the people of rural Bengal.
