300 baht in Thailand. One local market near in Naiyang, Phuket. I wanted to see exactly how far it goes, so here’s everything I walked out with, item by item, real prices included. What would you have grabbed first? And tell me what price challenge you want to see next, I read every comment. CHAPTERS 0:00 Intro 0:24 Mango smoothie 0:44 Fish balls 1:29 Isan sausages 2:03 Khao + tom kha gai 2:28 Mango sticky rice 2:41 Khanom Tokyo & corn waffle 3:07 The final total 3:12 Tasting it all at home WHAT I BOUGHT (and what I paid) Mango smoothie (Mamuang Pan) – 40 baht Fish balls with salad & spicy sauce (Luk Chin Pla) – 30 baht 2 Isan sausages (Sai Krok Isan) – 35 baht Rice + tom kha gai (Khao + Tom Kha Gai) – 70 baht Mango sticky rice (Khao Niao Mamuang) – 70 baht Khanom Tokyo + corn waffle – 55 baht Market: Naiyang Market, Sakhu, Thalang District, Phuket 83110 Total for the day: 300 baht HOW TO SHOP LIKE A LOCAL Prices at a real local market are usually fixed, it’s not the haggling-tourist-market situation. Bring small bills and coins, a lot of stalls can’t break a 500. If there’s a language gap, pointing works fine and so does Google Translate, nobody minds. A smile and a “khob khun ka” goes a long way. WHAT SHOULD I FILM NEXT? Comment one of these or suggest your own: 100 baht fruit-only challenge A full day of market breakfasts Night market budget run Cooking everything I bought in this video Market prices vs supermarket prices, side by side FOLLOW ME Instagram: @explorewithflore TikTok: @explorewithflore Work with me: explorewithflore@gmail.com #MoneyChallenge #FoodChallenge #EverythingIBought #Thailand #ThaiFood #ThaiMarket #Phuket
