Jelly Roll Morton's first recording session for Victor produced four fabulous sides. Victor had set up a makeshift studio at the Webster Hotel in Chicago, and over the next few months several great bands would record there including Bennie Moten's and Ben Pollack's. The building is still there and it was repurposed into apartments. Recorded in Chicago at the Webster Hotel on September 15, 1926.
