Anunnaki Echoes: The Temple Hymn to Inanna (Ancient Sumerian Chant)

A resonant, atmospheric reading of one of humanity's oldest known prayers. This is the Temple Hymn to the goddess Inanna, inscribed on clay tablets in cuneiform around 2100 BCE in ancient Sumer. Inanna, the Queen of Heaven and Earth, was a deity of immense power—governing love, war, fertility, and justice. This repetitive, hypnotic hymn is a litany of her divine attributes and the sacred spaces built in her honor. It is a powerful invocation that has echoed for over 4,000 years.
