Launch - ESMA’s Position Paper - Building more effective and attractive capital markets in the EU

The launch event of ESMA’s Position Paper on the effectiveness of capital markets in the European Union took place on Wednesday 22 May. The event was public and highlighted ESMA’s recommendations to strengthen EU capital markets and address the needs of European citizens and businesses. Natasha Cazenave, ESMA Executive Director, moderated the event and Verena Ross, ESMA Chair, presented the paper and took questions from the audience. Our special guest Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank, expressed her thoughts and contribution to the EU capital markets via a video message.
