Some gameplay of Backyard Baseball on Scummvm 0.9.0. Back then, the game wasn't even considered supported and well, it's not hard to see why.
Physics? Wtf is that? The game seems to run off a random number generator. The ball flies in random directions, causing frequent fouls (even in Tee-ball!) and when it does actually manage to move in a direction resembling forward, it goes inhuman distances!
Pitching is super difficult, the juice meter, I don't even know what's going on with it, it seems like it gets set at random values too, and that makes it pretty hard to strike out the players, it also makes the special pitches almost useless. This also makes it very difficult to hit at bat in normal baseball, especially for the human. This is why I picked Tee-ball, so that the ball could actually be hit and I could show the incredible bats.
Fielding is completely broken. The ball, when it's not flying off into Russia, is teleporting and disappearing, and so are the players! Of course, the computer has little problem playing like this, but it's just about impossible to effectively field, save for the rare time you can see the ball, perhaps.
The game also frequent crashes with array errors due to the players teleporting outside the game's memory. Oh boy! It took an unusually long time here, but it did happen in the end. Back in the day, it would often crash after only a few minutes, so a lot of the glitches were hard to see. Don't know why it held up so long now.
Phew! Did I miss anything? This is quite something!
