Trombone Lesson: "The Circle of Fourths" on the Trombone

"The Circle of Fourths" is one of the most common sounds we encounter as trombonists. In this video I demonstrate five exercises to help you navigate your way through the circle of fourths. The first three exercises are based around the triad. I’ll illustrate how half-step movements can help you to transition fluidly through different keys. I also demonstrate the use of half-steps in the circle of fourths while outlining dominant 7th chords.
