During the year 2000, the unforgettable spectacle winding around the World Showcase Lagoon was actually titled Tapestry of Nations. While it was later re-themed as Tapestry of Dreams in late 2001 to celebrate Disney's 100 Years of Magic, the 2000 millennium-era original remains one of the most highly praised, massive street pageants in Disney history. Developed over three years, this enormous production featured 150 live performers and was a key pillar of EPCOT's Millennium Celebration. Its powerful, emotion-driven theme focused entirely on world peace, global diversity, and the unified human spirit. Relive the incredible scale, towering puppets, and thumping drumbeats of the millennium edition moving past the global pavilions: The pageant did not use traditional floats. Instead, it was an interconnected moving collective of performers and mechanical marvels spanning the entire World Showcase. • The Music: The universally adored, orchestral soundtrack was composed by Gavin Greenaway and recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London. It featured a sweeping, wordless choral chant backed by a massive symphony orchestra. • The Millennium Clocks: Anchoring the audio layout were 15 massive, rolling percussion units. Standing 19 feet tall, these units featured performers dressed as ancient kings who slammed rhythmic beats into giant rotating drums, a design meant to symbolize the unified human heartbeat
