Tamaki Shrine in the Mist ⛩️ | A Mystical Walk to Japan’s Sacred Mountain

A peaceful 20-minute walk and visit to Tamaki Shrine in Totsukawa Village, Nara, Japan. This video begins at the parking area and follows the walking path to the main shrine building. I then visit the main shrine, offer a quiet prayer, and end the video with a photo of the goshuin stamp I received. On this day, the shrine grounds were covered in mist, creating a very mystical and sacred atmosphere. Tamaki Shrine is located deep in the mountains of Nara and is sometimes said to be a shrine you can only visit when you are “called” to go there. During the walk, you can also see the restoration work around the shrine office. As shown in the subtitles, the shrine office is undergoing a major restoration project, with a cost of about 4 billion yen and planned completion in 2028.
