Because feeling distant is never the same as being abandoned. He has not left you. Before you close your eyes, draw close to Him and let His presence rest over your soul. This is a simple, powerful bedtime prayer to draw near to God tonight. So many of us go to sleep carrying spiritual exhaustion — the sense that we've drifted, that our prayers go unanswered, that God feels far away. But His Word says He is closer than we feel. Tonight, you don't need to perform or strive to reach Him. You only need to speak to Him honestly, and let Him meet you where you are.
