20 YEARS LATER AFTER FIRST TRY AKAI BUILDS A SMALL SAMPLER THAT'S A HIT! In this video, we take a deep dive into the 20-year evolution of portable music production gear. Back in 2006, Akai introduced their very first compact sampler—the AKAI MPC 500—which struggled to capture the market. Meanwhile, cultural milestones like the 2005 film Hustle & Flow showcased the power of the MPC workflow to the mainstream, and Roland disrupted the space with the legendary SP-404. It took two decades of trial, refinement, and listening to producers, but Akai finally got the compact formula right with the release of the AKAI MPC Sample. Join us as we break down the history from struggle to success, look at how small samplers dominate the modern marketplace, and explore what’s next with the latest updates! #MPCSample #AkaiMPC #MusicProduction #Beatmaker #HipHopHistory #Sampler #MPC500 #SP404 #AudioEngineering CHAPTERS 00:00 INTRO 00:44 THE BIG SALES FROM HUSTLE & FLOW 01:29 ROLAND WANTS MORE 02:39 IN 2005 IT STARTS 03:29 THE BRAND NEW SMALL SAMPLER FROM AKAI 2006 IT FAILS 05:08 ROLAND STILL WINNING THE SMALL SAMPLER MARKET 2021 05:36 THE AKAI MPC SAMPLE MARCH 24 2026 FINALLY SUCESS 07:02 THERE IS HELP AFFILIATE LINKS: 11 LABsn - https://try.elevenlabs.io/shsvfk1m8kv2 📚 Lessons - https://www.skrecordingschool.com/All... 🥁 Get Our Drum Kits - https://www.skrecordingschool.com/All... 👨🏾‍🏫 Join/SampleKings: https://www.skrecordingschool.com/All... 💬 ZOOM Lessons - https://us05web.zoom.us/samplekings ---- 🔥 Social Media: ➡️ FACEBOOK -   / sample.kings   ➡️ YOUTUBE -    / @samplekingsvideos   ➡️ Instagram-   / samplekings   ➡️ Twitter -   / samplekings   ---- SUPPORT OUR CHANNEL: ❤️ PayPal - https://www.paypal.me/samplekingsyt ❤️ Cash App - https://cash.app/$samplekings ---- 📧 - Email (Serious Inquiries): admin@samplekings.com Join this channel to get access to perks:    / @samplekingsvideos
