Britannia Hotel: Adamton Country Hotel, Prestwick

I have been hesitant in the past to stay at a Britannia hotel, I heard some awful reviews that I cancelled my stay at the Adelphi in Liverpool by staying at another hotel across the road. However, since my Liverpool trip I had no choice but stay at a Britannia hotel as there where no availability elsewhere, that was within our budget. I was exhausted and needed to get my head down, at this point I would have even slept in the car! As you all know I am Scottish but sadly I work down south in London, family commitments on either side of the border have resulted in driving at times for 8-9 hours each way. This was one such trip, flying was not an option before you ask! Would I stay again? Yes but be careful. You pay for wifi and there are no frills included. Keep an eye on your bank account as Britannia billed me twice, I noticed a payment went out 15 days after my stay, naughty naughty Britannia! The customer service from Britannia group was crap, telephoned multiple times. I did get a refund in the end via the wonderful man at reception who made our stay pleasurable (Robert, I think), what a gem!
