As tensions rose, three main groups emerged, each backed by different political goals and leaders. The Bosniaks (Bosnian Muslims), led politically by Alija Izetbegović, largely supported an independent, multiethnic Bosnia. Bosnian Serbs, led by Radovan Karadžić, they opposed independence and sought to remain connected with Serbia, creating their own territory "Republika Srpska". And the Bosnian Croats, supported by the government of Croatia and led by figures like Mate Boban, aiming to establish their own autonomous region called "Herceg-Bosna". These competing nationalist goals quickly turned political tensions into a violent conflict between the three sides. #turbofolk #bosnia #bosnian #bosna #yugoslavia #historysong #warsongs #history #historical #patriotic #patrioticmusic #patrioticsong #marchingsong #historychannel #historyfacts #folkmusic
