Congressional Briefing: America's 250th, Public Lands & Latino Communities

On July 22, 2026 GreenLatinos convened staff across the U.S. House of Representatives for a widely-attended event sponsored by Congresswoman Adelita Grijalva (AZ-7) for a congressional briefing. There, event speakers Andrea Delgado, Angelo Villagomez, Jazzari Taylor and Juan Madrid covered topics such as the importance of civil servants stewarding our public lands, protecting the stories our public lands tell in the face of censorship at national parks, national monuments and concerns with the evisceration for protections at Bears Ears National Monument and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monuments, southern U.S. border wall-driven public land destruction, the Land & Water Conservation fund, and the benefits of public lands for public health, especially for veterans. #PublicLands
