Foreign Money, African Partners: Who Really Benefits?

Imagine an international investor wants to build a 200-million-dollar renewable-energy project in Africa. They have the money. They have the technology. And they have experience developing projects around the world. But there's one question I would ask. Who's your African partner? And I don't mean someone whose only role is to arrange meetings. I mean a partner who can genuinely contribute to the success of the business. Because in my view, some of Africa's strongest future energy investments will be built through meaningful partnerships between African and international companies. But those partnerships must be structured properly.
