Miss World 2026 is over — and what a finale. Dominican Republic’s Joheirry Mola Dominguez is the new Miss World, with Spain finishing second and Malaysia in third. For the Philippines, 18-year-old Asia Rose Simpson ends an incredible campaign in the Top 12 after winning the overall Head-to-Head Challenge. But this finale gave us A LOT to talk about. Brazil and Czech Republic were among the major favorites but failed to reach the Top 6. Vietnam won the crucial Asia & Oceania continental spot over the Philippines. Eritrea’s People’s Choice journey showed just how important public voting can be. And Dominican Republic ultimately emerged with the crown. Meanwhile, the comment sections were already filling up with accusations of a “cooking show.” I have a different perspective. In this video, we break down Miss World’s difficult format, the different pathways to the Top 6, what happened to the favorites, why Dominican Republic’s victory may not be as surprising as it first appears, and why Asia Rose’s Top 12 finish should NOT be treated as a failure. Because after watching this entire competition, one thing became very clear to me: Miss World is not an ordinary beauty contest. Did the right woman win? Should Asia Rose have made the Top 6? And what did you think of the Miss World 2026 format? Let’s talk about it. #MissWorld2026 #AsiaRoseSimpson #MissWorldPhilippines #DominicanRepublic #MissWorld #Philippines #AsiaRose #MissWorldFinal #PageantAnalysis #BeautyWithAPurpose #MissWorldResults #pageantnews ---------------------- Disclaimer: This content is for news commentary and educational purposes only.
