This is a video I hope my clients watch, and I hope they recognize this philosophy in the way we already collaborate. What happens when we internalize the belief that “the client is always right”? When creatives, including myself, first enter client-facing work, we often find ourselves caught between two extremes: blindly following the client’s requests, or becoming defensive and attached to our own creative ego. Is there a middle path where creatives can serve the client’s best interests without losing sight of their own creative judgment? This video essay explores this dilemma through frameworks from business classics including The Trusted Advisor, Helping, and Humble Inquiry, adapted specifically to the context of creative service work. #creativework #psychology #videoessay
