Om Tat Sat In Chapter 6, Verse 19, Shri Krishna gives one of the most vivid and celebrated analogies in all spiritual literature. He compares the disciplined mind of a meditating yogi to the steady, unwavering flame of a lamp placed in a windless shelter. Today’s Shlok: yatha dipo nivata-stho nengate sopama smrta | yogino yata-cittasya yunjato yogam atmanah || 19 || Meaning: As a lamp placed in a windless spot does not flicker, so is compared the yogi whose mind is controlled, remaining steady in the meditation of the self. Key Lessons: Unwavering Focus: Just as wind causes a flame to dance erratically, wandering thoughts and sensory cravings cause the mind to fluctuate. A disciplined mind becomes completely still and luminous. The Shelter Within: Stillness is achieved not by eliminating the outside world, but by creating an inner sanctuary of discipline and single-pointed awareness. Modern Lesson: In today’s world of nonstop notifications, information overload, and sudden crises, our minds behave like exposed flames whipped by sudden gusts—scattering focus, draining energy, and inducing anxiety. Krishna reveals that deep focus is possible when you build your own "windless space." By intentionally setting boundaries, tuning out digital noise, and anchoring your attention to the task at hand, your mind regains steady focus, clear perception, and unshakable calm. Explanation by - Veda scholar, astrologer and yoga sadhak, Pujya Shri Satish Upadhyay ji ‪@Muktidaya90‬ अध्याय 6, श्लोक 19 में, श्रीकृष्ण ध्यानस्थ योगी के मन की एकाग्रता को समझाने के लिए एक अत्यंत सुंदर और प्रसिद्ध उपमा देते हैं। वे बताते हैं कि जिस प्रकार वायु रहित स्थान में दीपक की लौ बिना हिले-डुले बिल्कुल स्थिर जलती है, ठीक उसी प्रकार आत्म-साधना में लीन संयमित योगी का चित्त भी पूर्णतः निश्चल रहता है। आज का श्लोक: यथा दीपो निवातस्थो नेङ्गते सोपमा स्मृता । योगिनो यतचित्तस्य युञ्जतो योगमात्मनः ॥ १९ ॥ अर्थ: जिस प्रकार वायु रहित स्थान में रखा हुआ दीपक चलायमान (कंपित) नहीं होता, ठीक वही उपमा अपने वश में किए हुए चित्त वाले उस योगी के लिए कही गई है, जो आत्म-चिंतन रूपी योग का अभ्यास कर रहा है। मुख्य सीख: निश्चल एकाग्रता: हवा के थपेड़ों से दीपक की लौ फड़कती रहती है, वैसे ही इच्छाओं और चिंताओं की हवा मन को भटकाती है। जब मन सध जाता है, तो वह दीपक की तरह शांत और तेजस्वी हो जाता है। अखंड प्रकाश: ध्यान की चरम अवस्था में कोई द्वंद्व, घबराहट या विचलन नहीं बचता; केवल आत्म-प्रकाश और स्पष्टता शेष रहती है। आज की सीख: आज हमारे चारों ओर विचारों और सूचनाओं का तेज तूफान है—सोशल मीडिया, काम का दबाव और अनगिनत चिंताएं हमारे ध्यान को एक पल भी टिकने नहीं देतीं। श्रीकृष्ण सिखाते हैं कि अपने चारों ओर संयम का सुरक्षा घेरा बनाएं। जब आप व्यर्थ की बातों और फालतू की चिंताओं के झोंकों से अपने दिमाग को बचाना सीख लेते हैं, तो आपकी बुद्धि हर काम में अचूक और शांत हो जाती है। वही एकाग्रता आपको जीवन के हर क्षेत्र में सफलता दिलाती है। इस सीरीज के बारे में: प्राचीन सूत्र, आधुनिक जीवन। सब्सक्राइब करें और शेयर करें। कमेंट में "जय श्री कृष्ण" लिखें। व्याख्या - वेदज्ञ ज्योतिष योग साधक पूज्य श्री सतीश उपाध्याय जी द्वारा ‪@Muktidaya90‬ #yogadhyan #geetagyan #astrology #jaipur #krishna #motivational #horoscope2026 #love #yoga #ytshorts #incredibleindia
