W.A.S.P. House of Blues September 20, 2026 Houston, TX. These are some clips and still shots from the night. "One Verse / One Chorus" then enjoy the rest of the song. My metal brothers Jamie and Big Red and I headed downtown to the show in Houston. KK's PRIEST opened and were awesome!! Thank y'all for a great night guys!! Representing 'Da Parish tonight in the Lone Star State!! I've been a huge fan of W.A.S.P. since I was introduced to them in the summer of 1984 through a video segment on the USA Network show called "Night Flight" they debuted their video for "L.O.V.E. Machine" and I was hooked!! (MTV were years behind Night Flight when it came to introducing the youth of America great bands like W.A.S.P. / MOTORHEAD / THOR / ARMORED SAINT / FEAR etc...) I taped it on a beta video tape and watched it over and over again until the next day when I rode my bike to Acorn Records in Village Square in Chalmette, LA and got the album. That thing stayed on my turntable, and I wore the grooves off it! I remember a few articles and small pictures in Hit Parader or Creem magazine here in the states at the time, but it was Kerrang!! in England was who ran with them and put them on the cover and did full features. They got it very early on in the game and all of those pictures would end up on my bedroom walls. in 1984 my walls were covered with OZZY, JUDAS PRIEST, MAIDEN, W.A.S.P., METALLICA and ARMORED SAINT! You had to search high and low back then because the press didn't really get it just yet. (in all honesty have they ever?) Years later when I was moving out of my mom and dad's house and pulling all the posters, pictures, flyers down that were stuck up with thumbtacks, my dad saw all the holes in the walls and shook his head and said, "Son it looks like Eliot Nest was in here!" (Sorry Pops!!) as I grab a puddy knife and paint to fix the years of chaos that were plastered all over the walls on my childhood bedroom. So when they announced they were touring "1984 to Headless" I was in!! It was chance to hang out with my best friends, get Texas Brisket, Tex-Mex and see a great show!! We got a nice change in the set list and a few great surprises!! I've been seeing this band well over 40 years and I will always travel to go see them because they still put on a great show and I love the music. It's a trip down memory lane. The soundtrack to our lives through the good times and the bad, it's the music that gets us through!! And seeing and feeling it live thundering through the monster PA system can't be beat!! (Incidental Note: Great in between songs while we were waiting for the band. The FOH can always make a great night even better, and he did just that giving us D.A.D. "Sleeping My Day Away" right before W.A.S.P. got started. That song was stuck in my head the whole way back home on the Greyhound back to the 504) By the end of the night my throat was wrecked from screaming along, head banging and shaking our fists in the air and finished the night with both finger guns blazing in the air like Yosemite Sam during "Blind In Texas" (Nothing beats seeing W.A.S.P. doing this song in the Lone Star State!!) Enjoy!! Go see this tour!!
