Sometimes the words are technically right, but something still feels wrong. In this episode of Please Hear Me, we look at right-brain communication: the emotional, relational layer beneath the words. Tone, pacing, posture, eye contact, timing, and emotional presence can shape what your partner hears before the sentence even lands. This is why couples can get stuck arguing over facts when the real issue is the feeling underneath. One person thinks they are being logical. The other person feels dismissed, unsafe, unseen, or alone. Both people may believe they are being rational, while both are actually responding to emotion. In this episode: Why words are only one part of communication How tone and emotional presence change what gets heard Why the body often reacts before language catches up How feelings can disguise themselves as logic Why “I don’t know why I’m upset” can be honest, not evasive How couples can shift from arguing facts to understanding feelings Right-brain communication is not about abandoning logic. It is about listening with more than your ears. Educational content only. This video is not therapy, medical advice, or a substitute for professional support.
