Fr. Toni El Khouli - I am from Nazareth (Full Version)

I am from Nazareth – It is neither just a song nor a poem; it is a true, unpretentious story that tells an entire lifetime. We were displaced from Lebanon to Nazareth, and then from Nazareth back to Lebanon, yet the soul remains anchored to its roots. When I composed the words written by poet Elie Salloum from Lebanon, I was simply composing the story of my life and the lives of my ancestors, rooted in Nazareth since 1798—the date of the first document I uncovered when I began researching my family tree, which I completed in this year, 2026. In this song, my true journey and story come to life. Following my retirement from art, my path intersected with the Son of Nazareth and the closest one to my heart: Jesus of Nazareth, who has been my Lord, my companion, my beloved, my father, my brother, and my friend. These are words that embody every beat of my life, affirming that our roots are alive and that friendship with eternity never ends. 🎵 Lyrics: Elie Salloum (Lebanon) 🎶 Composition & Performance: Rabih El Khouli (Toni El Khouli) 📍 Location: The Heart of Nazareth – Land of the Annunciation and Roots.
