Why Not Celebrate Malcolm X

Why don’t we take the time to celebrate Malcolm X, a pivotal figure in the fight for freedom and justice for Black people? While Martin Luther King Jr. is honored each year for his nonviolent approach to civil rights, it’s important to recognize that Malcolm X also made significant contributions to the movement. His powerful advocacy for self-determination, empowerment, and the promotion of Black pride played a crucial role in uplifting social justice issues. By acknowledging both leaders, we can gain a more comprehensive understanding of the diverse strategies and philosophies that shaped the struggle for equality in America.
