Introducing: Wendor Salgado

In a small corner of Lima lives one of Criollo music's greatest contributors, Wendor Salgado. Born in 1941 in Barranca, he moved to Lima at just two months old. Wendor learned to play guitar at age twelve from a neighborhood friend. This small neighborhood group expanded, finding other neighborhood groups and gathering to learn and play together. These young men would become some of the stars of Criollo music including, Alberto Quiso, Ernesto Chavez, Victor Reyes and many others.
