Claire Boswell ~ Prayer In Open D (Emmylou Harris) live at Soundshack Studios 23/09/2026

Prayer in Open D is a song I have carried with me since my teens when I first discovered Emmylou Harris’ live album Spyboy and then Cowgirl’s Prayer. It’s incredibly haunting, yet hopeful and the older I get, the more the song resonates with me. I’ve been revisiting a lot of my favourite songs over the past year or so since I started playing music again and I had a lot of fun recording this last week out at Soundshack Studios in Shurdington.
