Royal Spoonbills

The second in our series of 'Rockstar' birds - the striking, iridescent and instantly recognisable - Straw-necked Ibis is one of the Kerang wetlands' most spectacular residents. Their distinctive straw-like neck feathers deepen to rich yellows in breeding season, while their dark plumage shimmers with a stunning iridescent sheen in sunlight.
