Range Report: Sig Sauer P227 Carry - The compact P220 with more capacity

In this Range Report, I take the Sig Sauer P227 Carry to the range for a closer look. Chambered in .45 ACP, the P227 Carry is the more compact version of Sig Sauer's double-stack P-Series pistol, offering a shorter slide and barrel while retaining the capacity, ergonomics, and features that made the full-size model popular. It was designed to provide the performance of a duty pistol in a package better suited for concealed carry. How does the P227 Carry compare to its full-size counterpart? Does the shorter barrel have any noticeable effect on recoil, accuracy, or shootability? Is it still comfortable to carry while maintaining the excellent handling characteristics of the P-Series platform?
