This is a mostly complete tour of these epic old Otises. Unfortunately the service car has been dead (possibly decommissioned) since around 2010 or so, and I only discovered after filming that it is also independent from the main passenger cars. That being said, we do however get to ride all three passenger cars (mostly) uninterrupted! These were originally installed in 1907 but received a complete modernization in the 1940s. The cabs, doors, indicators and directional lanterns on all floors, and call buttons on floors 2-10 (except for the service car) are still original to this first mod. The fixtures were replaced with Adams probably in the 80s and then replaced again by Otis yet again sometime in the 90s. These run really well considering they're nearly 120 years old. I love the way the SCR drives on these things sound, and at ~700fpm they're LUDICROUSLY fast for 10 floors which makes them super fun to ride!
