How do I learn to play fighting games proactively? (pattheflip reads)

Once you get good at chump checking people with basic reactive tools like anti-airs and whiff punishes, it can be hard to get comfortable taking risks. In most games, though, you can't rely exclusively on reactive play to win the bracket. The b-roll for the next few videos will be of me labbing and playing some Guilty Gear Xrd.
