WHIPLASH: Carl Tanner scenes only

The more I watch Whiplash, the more I realize it is about the journey of Nate Lang's character Carl Tanner from innocence to enraged vendetta psycho. Note in how every important scene, Tanner lingers in the background, ghost-like, judging, plotting, waiting for his revenge. Was he just a pawn of Fletcher all along??? Whiplash 2014 Written and directed by Damien Chazelle. Starring J.K. Simmons, Miles Teller, Paul Reiser, Melissa Benoist, and Nate Lang.
