Grand Canyon - Colorado River to South Rim - Hiking Bright Angel Trail

This spectacular popular hike is 8 mi (13 km) long, with elevation gain 0.83 mi (1.34 km). The trail reveals breathtaking scenery and fascinating rock formations. In this video we also encounter mules, deer, ravens, bighorn sheep, several helicopters and enjoy a sunset at the end (56:08). The way from the Colorado River to the Havasupai Garden (at 22:21) is about 3.2 mi (5.2 km) and from the Havasupai Garden to the South Rim is 4.8 mi (7.7 km). A note to hikers: there is no drinking water at the Colorado River Resthouse.
