GW2 Raid Guides: Samarog CM (Wing 4)

This guide is made by a dps character taken as a base and by a member of "loot" guild. Thank you to my guildmates for allowing me to create this video. Hello everyone, this video is about Samarog in challenge mode. 3 most important things for this boss are -stability -positioning -timing -Since there will be a lot more spears than the normal mode, you will have very limited amount of space to move. When Samarog using his skills ,you need to have stability or dodge perfectly so you wont get thrown into spears causing instant death or onto spears which is not instant death but still hurts a lot. -Another thing different than normal mode is that the person who gets the big green circle for “choose your allies wisely” mechanic, can not move. So the person with the little green has to move to person with the big green aoe. -Attention here, because the person with the big green aoe needs stability so they don’t get pushed back by samarog’s skills. -Additinally, when choose your allies carefully mechanic ends, there will be a spear, so you need to keep kiting samarog between your markers. -And for my last tip for this boss, thanks to our guildmates we kept a timer for whenever we will get green, and pulled the boss out of it. The green aoe timer’s differ on the first phase, second phase and last phase. You keep getting them more frequently. -Different than normal, you need to cc much faster here. -When Samarog is using his attacks, try to stay inside his red hitbox circle. That way you will be safer from the cone attack. Additionally, you need to move slower than the player pulling Samarog to the next marker, so that if one of you gets green aoe, you wont put the aoe in front of people, but it will stay behind at Samarog. -We tried to avoid stacking in the middle on the mini boss phase to leave green aoe on a marker we wont use later. This way you can have much more space to move. Because when the last phase comes, and you start getting spears more frequently, there wont be much place to move so you have to utilize every space. -When Samarog is pulling his spears back, do not stand on a spear’s way or you need to dodge them. Its mostly about positioning the spears, greens and stability.
