Episode 2: Danny Dyer Offered Me a Role in Eastenders, In the Toilet?!

Pete and Josh are joined by EastEnders royalty Natalie Cassidy, as Pete reminisces about the time Danny Dyer offered him a role in the show from inside a toilet cubicle. Well… he thinks it was Danny Dyer. Pete, Josh and Natalie also discuss how another EastEnders legend helped send Pete to rehab and what Political Party the characters would vote for. Elsewhere, Pete and Josh realise The Pete Doherty Show is missing one fairly crucial thing: a theme tune. So they head to the Albion Rooms recording studio, with Josh back on the drums for the first time in 20 years and Pete on guitar and vocals, to try to write one. Back in the interview studio, Natalie reluctantly picks up her iconic trumpet to perform the EastEnders theme, with Pete accompanying her. Pete’s Nan and the show’s newest researcher takes us on a deep dive through Natalie’s life, including the important revelation that she once partied with H from Steps. And throughout it all, Pete still can’t quite get over the fact that Harry Shearer has cancelled.
